Who says charcuterie boards are only for snacks or appetizers? This breakfast charcuterie board brings together all your favorite morning flavors with a balanced mix of sweet and savory options.

We love breakfast and entertaining, and when hosting brunch we often lay out a full spread so everyone can pick what they like. That inspired this breakfast charcuterie: a single board with a little bit of everything.
To make it extra special we added a simple maple cream cheese spread. It’s easy to prepare and perfect for celebrations like baby showers, Mother’s Day, or a relaxed weekend brunch with friends.
What’s in this easy breakfast charcuterie board
This breakfast-and-brunch charcuterie board is loaded with flavors to satisfy a crowd.
For savory choices, include hard-boiled eggs, cubed cheddar, a goat cheese log, bagels, and a maple cream cheese made from cream cheese and maple syrup. For the meats, prosciutto and dry salami are simple, elegant picks.
For a touch of sweetness and color, add strawberries and blueberries. Frozen waffles are a great crunchy element that you can toast right before serving.

Variations and substitutions
One of the best things about this board is how easy it is to customize. Here are some ideas to adapt it to your tastes:
Meat: Swap in any cured meats you prefer. Crispy bacon or breakfast sausages also work well if you want cooked options.
Fresh fruit: Try orange slices, cantaloupe, honeydew, or grapefruit for variety and color.
Cheese: Brie makes a lovely, creamy addition alongside cheddar and goat cheese.
Go mini: Mini waffles, pancakes, bagels, donuts, cinnamon rolls, or muffins make the board even more guest-friendly.
If you’re not a waffle fan, French toast is a tasty substitute.

Tips for assembling your breakfast charcuterie
- To prep ahead: assemble the board without waffles and bagels, cover, and refrigerate. Toast waffles and bagels just before serving and add them to the board.
- Fill empty spaces with fresh herbs like chives or dill for pops of green, or use edible flowers for a fancier presentation.
- Choose a large enough board or tray so items are accessible and the layout looks abundant without feeling crowded.

Storage and freezer directions
Because this board includes many components, store leftovers thoughtfully. Meats, cheeses, and fruit keep well in airtight containers in the refrigerator for 3–4 days.
Keep waffles and bagels separate; they won’t stay as fresh if stored with moist items. Reheat them in a toaster or oven when you’re ready to eat.
If you have a lot left over, many items freeze well for up to three months when wrapped tightly: sliced meats, cheeses, waffles, and bagels can all be frozen to extend their shelf life.

What to serve with a breakfast charcuterie board
This board is a wonderful way to start a brunch and whet appetites. Follow it with a warm entree—options like breakfast pizza with a hash brown crust, quiche Lorraine, or strawberries-and-cream stuffed French toast pair beautifully with the board.
Breakfast Charcuterie

Ingredients
- 8 large eggs
- 4 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 4 oz. thinly sliced prosciutto
- 4 oz. thinly sliced dry salami
- 4 bagels, any type
- 6 frozen waffles
- 8 oz. cheddar cheese, cubed
- 4 oz. goat cheese log
- 16 oz. strawberries
- 1 pint blueberries
Instructions
- Prepare an ice bath by filling a medium bowl halfway with ice and covering it with water; set aside.
- Bring a medium saucepan of water to a boil over high heat.
- Gently add the eggs to the boiling water and cook 6–12 minutes (6 minutes for soft yolks, 12 minutes for fully set yolks).
- When cooked, drain the hot water and transfer the eggs to the ice bath for at least 5 minutes.
- Peel the eggs carefully. If shells stick, peel under running water. Halve the eggs and place them in a small bowl on the board; season with salt and pepper.
- Whisk together cream cheese and 1/3 cup maple syrup until smooth; transfer to a small bowl and add to the board as the maple cream cheese spread.
- Arrange prosciutto and salami in loose piles on opposite ends of the board.
- Toast and quarter the bagels, then place them near the maple cream cheese.
- Toast the waffles, cut in half, and place them opposite the bagels; set extra maple syrup nearby.
- Position the cheddar and goat cheese on the board, spaced apart.
- Fill remaining gaps with strawberries and blueberries so the board looks full and inviting.
- Serve immediately.
