Here’s another photo dump for you this week — a bit of a throwback, though not too far back. This past May I took a Mediterranean cruise with my mom and aunt as a belated college graduation gift, and we had a wonderful time.

| A little squinty sun pic for you |
We flew into Barcelona and spent a day exploring before boarding the week-long cruise. The ship stopped in Naples/Pompeii, Rome, Marseille, and Palma, Spain. We had also planned to dock near Florence/Pisa but weather forced us to skip it — I was really hoping to take a cheesy photo pretending to push over the Leaning Tower. Next time for sure.
After the cruise we returned to Barcelona for a day, then headed to Paris for a few days. I love Paris, even though it ended up being my mom’s least favorite stop.
All of these photos were taken with my iPhone. I did bring a point-and-shoot but mostly I was too lazy to use it.
I didn’t bother placing the pictures in chronological order — instead I grouped them by category because, well, it’s my blog and I can do that.
What I wore one day. I always feel awkward taking selfies, so this is all you get:
Some pretty scenes:
 |
| Marseille, France. |
 |
| View from our balcony on the ship. |
 |
| Versailles Gardens |
Some things I ate:
I also spent an obscene amount of money on French macarons, but I couldn’t pause long enough to photograph them — sorry.
Here are some famous ruins you might have heard of:
 |
| Pompeian ruins |
Some sweet souvenirs I didn’t buy:
 |
| These were…everywhere in Pompeii |
Architecture and sights:
 |
| Vatican Square |
 |
| Proof I was in Palma |
 |
| Cathedral of Notre Dame |
 |
| Arc de Triomphe |
 |
| You know what this is. |
That famous little lady I didn’t get very close to — getting closer would have meant fighting through the crowds, and I prefer to avoid grumpy mobs.
And look, some locks:
I hope you enjoyed this random montage of photos from my trip. Expect more photo dumps — I’ve been getting more comfortable with my camera, and I’m heading to England for a Christmas trip next week.
